• Style Your Vacation Rental: A Time For Sharing!

Its the holiday season and a time for sharing so we have decided to provide you with a list of our most favorite, tested and trusted decor resources!

Pictured above: Linens - The Distinguished Guest, Throw Pillows - Pottery Barn, Throw Blankets - West Elm, Wall Art - Pottery Barn, Lamp - Pottery Barn

Bedding - We love The Distinguished Guest bed linens, mattress protectors, pillows and duvet inserts (shameless plug, as pictured above) and here are a few other retailers that we love when it comes to high quality product at great value.  Throw pillows are the best part about creating a hotel bed experience and we love Etsy for this. Search Etsy for your color scheme and the word throw pillow and you will be spoiled for choice. With the above resources you will build a dream bed that your guests will not be able to forget!

Lighting - Lighting can be pricy and an area where we prefer to spend a little extra money.  Here are my thoughts on places to find lighting and I am always a huge fan of waiting for a sale so be patient.  Rome was not built in a day and your vacation rental will be a continual work in progress.  I love the quality of West Elm, Pottery Barn and Shades of Light.  Always, Always, Always check your local TJ Maxx because they sometimes have amazing lamps but it can be hit or miss.

Art - I always find that adding art is one of the most difficult decor tasks for me personally.  I am hugely picky and if it is not perfect then its not for me.  I love Art.com they have a huge selection of affordable art and they have amazing customer service which can't be beat.  We also love Pottery Barn for unique wall art as noted above.

Coffee Table Books - If you are a follower of my blog then you have probably already seen my recommendation on where to get coffee table books.  I am a huge fan of good quality seconds (lets face it you are purchasing for your second home) I love Amazon for this reason alone.  You may also want to hit up some local used book stores in your area.

P.S.  We will be taking the next two weeks off from blogging and want to wish you Happy Holidays and a safe and Happy New Year!
